I am in awe of the super creative and talented Designer Till Konneker. I absolutely his genius multifunction Living Cube Concept.
If you have not heard of the Living Cube (note: this is trademarked), you definitely must continue reading, I am sure that you will find it fascinating.
Here is how it started: The concept was created to address a need. Designer Till Konneker was living in a very small studio apartment and needed storage space. Since his small studio apartment, was extremely small, he had to come up with something that provided storage space. After much trial and error, he came up with a design concept that had a bed and a storage unit all in one and decided to call it the Living Cube. Instead of throwing things haphazardly under the bed, the Living cube, features several different size storage concepts.
The available sizes for the Living Cube are:
- Large Elements: 79″ Tall x 49″ Wide x 14″ Deep /
- Small Elements: 79″ Tall x 24″ Wide x 14″ Deep /
- MINI: 6.5′ Tall x 8.5′ Wide x 5.25′ Deep /Prices begin at $2500
- URBAN: 6.5′ Tall x 13′ Wide x 5.25′ Deep /Prices begin at $3000
The Living cube is made up of several sections, and a middle section that can accommodate hanging items. This magnificent item has so much storage space and is remarkably efficient that can be a walk in closet and can store large items such as a bicycle or exercise equipment.
The Living Cube comes in Black, Natural and a White Wash color. I think that this will go splendidly for a college dorm room, studio apartment or a small guest room that is lacking adequate storage space.
